2024 Collection System Rehabilitation Project (CIP 23703)

The general scope of work for this project included in the base bid and bid alternate is the rehabilitation and/or replacement of 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12” sewer mains by the following methods:

• Approximately 18,498 LF by cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining

• Approximately 11,629 LF by pipe bursting

Also included in the scope of work is the rehabilitation or replacement of approximately 350 laterals and approximately 77 sewer structures within the project area. Also included in the scope of work as a bid alternate is the use of non-styrene, no VOC CIPP resin.

Also included in the scope of work as a bid alternate is the installation of approximately 625 LF of 12-inch and 18-inch storm drain, storm drainage structures, two water main offsets, two water service replacements, 135 LF of CIPP lining, and sewer lateral rehabilitation.

Any bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened, in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders, examined and declared on said day and hour, and will be referred to the Board for subsequent action.

The successful bidder will have 267 calendar days to substantially complete the project from the Notice to Proceed.

The estimated cost of construction for the Base Bid is $7,092,000.

The estimated cost of construction for Bid Alternate A is $121,000.

The estimated cost of construction for Bid Alternate B is $450,000.00

Attendance is mandatory for all contractors submitting a bid. Failure to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference will make any bid submitted by Bidder unresponsive and will be rejected. A site visit prior to bidding is mandatory for the contractor to be qualified to bid on the project. However, the site visit shall be conducted by the Contractor at its convenience prior to the preparation of its bid. Bidders are not allowed to enter private property or open manholes.
